The Proud Tortoise

Once there lived a proud tortoise. The tortoise lived in a small house in a pond. He was very fond of his house. He never used to leave the house. One day, the rain God invited all the animals into the forest. All the animals got dressed up and went to the party except the tortoise. Some of the animals persuaded the tortoise to attend the dinner. But the tortoise refused to leave his house. At the party, the rain God received all the animals, but he noticed the tortoise was missing. The rain God got angry and destroyed the house of the tortoise.
